Hi. I am Robert Killgo. I live in Northeast Texas and have been knapping for around 8 years now, seven of those commercially. Although they are very time consuming and I don't get to work on them very often, my first love is making eccentrics and knife blades, especially the combination. My second love is making hand-fluted clovis points. I do not specialize in one particular point style or type, as most knappers do, but rather keep myself well rounded in the ability to reproduce any type out there. My work includes everything from percussioning 30 lb. whole rocks into 15" bifaces, to using Flake-Over-Grind to make the most intricate and beautiful jewelry pieces. I also do not limit myself with my knapping materials, as I work everything I can get my hands on, again, to help me stay well rounded in my abilities. However, I do have my favorites, and they are, randomly, pure Georgetown black, Kentucky blue, kiacuck, Oklahoma black, Oklahoma Kay county, highest grade novaculite, dacite, and yes, ft hood! Just to name a few. In essence, if it flakes good, I LOVE IT ! ! ! !
